What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is focused attention, a heightened state of awareness. It is a natural state of mind we slip in and out of daily in our lives.

Every time we become:

Engrossed in a novel or motion picture

Listening to music

Watching Television

Listening to a good speaker or good sermon

We are in what is called environmental hypnosis.

 

Will I Be Asleep?

No. Hypnosis does not always feel the way a person expects it to. There are many levels of hypnosis. Sometimes even a shallow state will produce the desired results, depending on what the problem is. Even at deeper levels, a person can talk, hear, move, and think. They are not asleep. In fact they are very aware and alert.

 

All Hypnosis is Self Hypnosis
